Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Bovada mobile application ("the App", "we", "our") handles user information when accessed through Google Play. By installing or running the App you accept the terms described in this document.

The text is intentionally plain-language so the reader can quickly understand what is and is not collected. We do not sell, share, or otherwise transfer user data to advertising or data broker networks.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

Words written with an initial capital letter have the meaning stated in the Definitions section. The same definition applies regardless of whether the term appears in singular or plural form.

Definitions

App means the Bovada application installed by the user on a Device from Google Play.
Company ("we", "our") is the entity that publishes the App.
Country means the United States, where this Policy was prepared.
Device means any phone, tablet or similar handheld used to run the App.
Personal Data is information that identifies a natural person or could reasonably be linked to one.
Service means the App itself.
Service Provider means any external party that would process information on behalf of the Company. At present the App relies on no Service Providers.
Usage Data is information generated locally as a result of interacting with the App, such as the fixtures added by the user and their watched/favorite status.
You means the person using the App, or the parent or legal guardian acting for a minor.

Information We Collect

Personal Data

The App does not collect Personal Data. It does not ask for a name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other information that could identify the user. No account exists, no sign-in is required, and no profile is created on any server.

Locally stored Usage Data

The App stores the following data on the Device using the standard Android on-device database:

The list of fixtures the user has added, including team names, sport, kick-off time, league and optional notes.
Watched / favorite status for each fixture, used by the in-app statistics screen.
Favorite team and league tags the user has saved.

This data never leaves the Device. It is not uploaded to a server. When the user uninstalls the App, the operating system removes the local storage automatically as part of normal app data cleanup. The user can also clear it at any time from the system settings.

Network requests

At startup the App performs a single network request to verify the current content version. The request contains no Personal Data, no cookies, and no unique Device identifiers. Standard transport-layer information (such as IP address and user agent) is visible to the server, as is the case with any HTTPS request made by any application or browser.

How We Use Information

Because the App does not collect Personal Data, there is no processing of Personal Data on our side. Locally stored Usage Data is used only on the user's Device to display the upcoming fixtures list, the monthly calendar, favorites and personal statistics.

Disclosure of Information

We do not share, sell, rent, license or otherwise disclose user information to third parties. The App is not connected to any advertising network, analytics platform, social media SDK or marketing tool.

Data Retention

Locally stored Usage Data remains on the Device until the user clears the App's storage from system settings, deletes individual fixtures inside the App, or uninstalls the App. No data is retained on our servers because no data is collected in the first place.

Children's Privacy

The App is rated for a general audience and is suitable for children. In line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Google Play Families policy, we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from any person, including those under 13. If a parent or legal guardian believes information has been collected by mistake, please reach out using the contact details below and we will address the situation promptly.

Security

Since user data lives only on the Device, security depends on the Device's own protections. We recommend keeping the operating system up to date with security patches and enabling a screen lock or biometric authentication.

Permissions

The App requests only the standard Internet permission required for the content verification request made at startup. The App does not request access to:

Contacts, calendar or call logs.
Camera, microphone or photo library.
Geographic location services.
SMS or telephony.
External storage outside the App's own sandboxed area.

International Data Transfers

Since no Personal Data is collected, no international data transfers take place. The App is operated from the United States.

Third-Party Links

The App may contain a link from its About screen to this Privacy Policy page, which is hosted on a domain we operate. The App does not embed third-party websites in its main usage flow.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect or store Personal Data, traditional data-subject rights (access, rectification, deletion, portability) do not apply in the usual sense. Locally stored Usage Data can be removed by long-pressing a fixture inside the App to delete it, by clearing the App's storage from the Device settings, or by uninstalling the App.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or in applicable legal requirements. The "Effective date" shown at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the App after a change has been posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
